Lactic acid, also known as 2-hydroxypropionic acid, is prepared by fermentation of carbohydrates. Compared with other AHA, lactic acid has obvious advantages in all aspects of efficacy and gentleness. As a chiral compound, lactic acid is divided into two types: L-L (+) and D-D (-). Only L-lactic acid is present in the human body and has special activity. Sodium L-lactic acid is the sodium salt of L-lactic acid.

Properties and application

L-Lactate LLS-60 is a multifunctional cosmetic raw material.

1 Whitening and freckle removing: Different from other whitening products, the mechanism of lactic acid is to directly inhibit the production of tyrosinase, even at very mild pH. It has synergistic effect with other different mechanisms of whitening and freckle raw materials.

2 Moisturizing ability is very strong: Sodium lactate has twice the moisturizing capacity of glycerin and is more than 30% higher than PCA-Na. Especially in the wash-off products, the comparative advantage is more obvious.
